He will forever be in our hearts and immortalized on DVD and yet Patrick Swayze has given us one more gift.
“The Time Of My Life”,
Swayze’s Memoir written by him and his wife Lisa Niemi will go on sale on September 29th.
“Dance is a metaphor for life,” Swayze said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2005. “You’re born. You peak. Your physical body goes downhill, but your spirit stays intact.”
There are actors who do great things on film and there are actors like Swayze. Patrick was always conscious of his fans and never forgot that they were the key to his success in Hollywood. He would always take time out to interact with them.
Jennifer Grey captured the essence of Swayze, that made him so adored by all, when she said, “Patrick was a rare and beautiful combination of raw masculinity and amazing grace.
We look forward to this “must read” of 2009
The
latest issue of
Peoplemagazine
offers a tribute to the late Patrick
Swayze, who passed
away Sept. 14, 2009 of
pancreatic
cancer. The new People
magazine
is a double issue, which also
features the best and worst
dressed of the year so far. Or,
more accurately, what we can
assume is a pull out with lots
of pictures of Amber Rose
on one side and Lady GaGa on the
other.
While
I was reading People Magazine,
"A Tribute To Patrick
Swayze," I came
across this passage and
thought it so beautiful, I
wanted to share it with
everyone:
People
Magazine Except:- September 28,
2009
Patrick's
Parting Words:
"Patrick's
wife Lisa, tells what their
journey - and upcoming memoir
- meant to them:
Lisa
& Patrick had renewed
their Wedding Vows.
After she finished saying the
words she'd written for me,
tears came to my eyes:
"While the future is an
unknown, the one things I do
know is that I will love
you. I'm very lucky to
have found you in my life and
am grateful that I have had
the ability to open my eyes
and see just what I
have..." And then I
spoke the words I'd written
for her.
"How
do I tell you how lucky
I feel, that you fell into my
life? How grateful I am
that you chose to love
me? I know that because
of you, I found my spirit, I
saw the man I wanted to
be. but most of all, you
were my friend.
Together, we've created
journeys that were beyond
anything we could
imagine. Journeys that
dreams are made of. We have
ridden into the sunset on a
white stallion, countless
times. We've tasted the
dust in the birthplaces of
religions. Yet you still
take my breath away. I'm
still not complete until I
look in your eyes. You
are my woman, my love, my mate
and my Lady. I've loved
you forever. I love you
now and I will love you
forevermore.
