How can we ever thank you our servicemen and
women for all you do...for all you have
done... for all of those who have served
before you and those who will come after
you...
There are no words that express how grateful
we are...
Each time we step out and touch American
soil... and see our flag waving in the
wind... we thank you.
Each time we watch our children play... and
hear their laughter ring through the
air...we thank you.
And in the evening when the house is very
quiet... and we have all settled down for
the night... to sleep...we thank you.
So much we take for granted... and yet each
day you lay your life on the line so we can
breathe in the air of freedom...
You go forth... not really knowing what lies
ahead of you... so that we can go forth into
each day knowing this land called America is
free.
We sit down at our tables laden with food...
looking into the eyes of our loved ones...
and you are far away...on unfriendly soil...
not knowing when the missiles may be
launched...or the enemy will come in
shooting... yet, you are there. With your
head held high... your belief in what you
are doing firmly planted in the knowledge
America must be kept safe... you are there.
And we, well, we are here. Going about our
daily lives... planning our tomorrows... yet
all the while, we want you to know we think
of you. We THANK GOD FOR YOU.
Know that as the sun shines forth each
morning...there are people in your land...
praying for you. Asking God to keep you
safe... to shield you from all possible
harm... and more... to let you know that you
are loved and so
appreciated. Beyond anything we could ever
say or write...
And tonight we lay our head upon our
pillows... you are there... keeping watch...
and as you do, our prayer to God is that He
will hold you safe within His arms... and
keep you well. And yes, we do ask Him to
whisper in your ear that we are here praying
for you... and we remember you.
