You are over there in a land that is not still free...in a land where pain, suffering and the turmoil's of war exist... and I am here in a land that is free... in a land where you were born and long to be... and I will not forget you.

 I think of you when I get up in the morning and I wonder what your night was like... and I pray that the new day will bring you joy and safety. I pray that God will place the angels all about you... that He will guide your steps where it is safe to walk... and that He will hold you extra close all throughout the day... and I pray that you will know I will not forget you...

 And I sit down to eat a meal... I think of you. I wonder if you have eaten... and I wonder  if you are feeling ok... and I wonder if you know how terribly much I miss you... and how very much I love you...

 I walk outside and listen to the wind as it calls through the pines... and I wonder if a gentle wind touched your face today or if the wind blew fierce... and I pray it was a gentle wind and that in that moment you felt God's embrace...and that you knew that we here at home remember and are so thankful for what you are doing and that we support you with all that we are...

 And at night before I lay down to go to sleep, I think of you. I think of how your Mama must have felt as she held you in her arms when you were but a tiny  baby... and of all the plans and dreams she had for you. And I think of the first time I ever saw you... or of all the wives and parents of all those that with you... must have felt as they watched as their loved ones waved goodbye to go where you are... I know one thing for sure... we will not forget... not as long as we breathe... or see the flag waving in the wind. We will remember... why you are there... we will remember how much you are loved... and we pray you do too.

Always know you are not there alone...for you see our hearts... our prayers and most of all ...our love is there with you. Through the winds, the gunfire... the missiles... our love is there with you. You are not alone. And we will remember...

 Thank you for being who you are... thank you for being where you are... to ensure our flag still waves... our children are free... and our homeland is safe...

And always know that we are here... waiting with opens arms for you to come back home... We will remember...

And we will always and forever love you... our heroes... may the day dawn soon when you return to us.
