Greetings.  I have created this page in name of Patrick Swayze.  Yes, I too fell in love with his dancing and Charisma during this film "Dirty Dancing."

I have gathered Photos from the web and have added them here.  Below, are Links to Patrick Swayze's New Book, his "Autobiography."  To be published, hopefully, very soon.  He has, as reported by many reputable people, etc., "Is That He Has Five Weeks To Live."  After viewing Patrick Swayze's newest pictures via Google, this looks to be very true.  Pancreatic Cancer is the HARDEST to fight; you don't fight it, you DIE from it as did Professor Randy Pausch - Famous for his "Last Lecture."

With this stated, I hope you enjoy the many pictures, and some of the information collected.

With Hugs & Smiles,

Babs

Dancing with the Stars to Pay Tribute to Patrick Swayze

On Sept. 23, the ABC show will honor the actor, who appeared on its first season

Dancing with the Stars will honor Patrick Swayze on its Sept. 23 live results show, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

“We have some very fond memories of [the late actor] coming to help us our when we were a tiny little show way back when,” Dancing’s executive producer Conrad Green says.

Swayze, who died of pancreatic cancer on Monday at the age of 57, made a guest appearance on Dancing’s inaugural U.S. season in 2005, teaching friend and fellow actor John O’Hurley a few dance moves in rehearsal. He also came to the show and supported O’Hurley by attending the season 1 finale.

“He was one of the few people to integrate dance with being an A-list actor,” Green says. “He inspired many people and many of our pros to dance. We want to honor the great moments he’s brought to film by getting our dancers to do their interpretation to some music from his films.” –Monica Rizzo

Actor Patrick Swayze dies at 57

U.S. film star Patrick Swayze died at home Monday- Sept.14, 2009- local time at the age of 57, according to media reports Tuesday.

"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," his rep tells PEOPLE in a statement.

Swayze said he was diagnosed with cancer in January 2008.

Swayze's best-remembered movies -- "Dirty Dancing" (1987) with Jennifer Grey and "Ghost" (1990) with Demi Moore -- were unexpected hits that relied more on terrific soundtracks and appealing performances than dramatic plausibility.

The Texas native began his career as a dancer and made dozens of stage, film and TV appearances over four decades. Pop culture immortality came with "Dirty Dancing," which defied Hollywood expectations to become one of the most-watched movies of all time.

"Dirty Dancing" featured Swayze as a dangerously hunky Catskills dance teacher named Johnny Castle who teams with a guest's shy daughter for a dance performance at a neighboring hotel.

Swayze's role of an investment banker in "Ghost," killed during a robbery, helps his lover (Moore) solve the crime with the aid of a psychic played by Whoopi Goldberg.

While undergoing chemotherapy for his cancer, he received good reviews for his gritty portrayal of an undercover FBI agent in "The Beast" (2009), a drama series for the A&E cable network.

Swayze missed only one day of work while filming the series. "One thing I'm not going to do is chase staying alive," he told interviewer Barbara Walters at the time. "You spend so much time chasing staying alive, you won't live."

Actor Patrick Swayze died today after a 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer his publicist confirmed to ABC News. He was 57.

"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," his publicist, Annett Wolf, said in a statement released Monday evening.

Watch the Barbara Walters Special "Patrick Swayze: Last Dance" Tuesday at 10 pm ET.

Patrick Swayze's wife Lisa told ABC News' Barbara Walters that she and his brother Donny Swayze, were by his side when he died at his ranch on the outskirts of Los Angeles.

Swayze, best known for starring in the blockbuster films "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost," was diagnosed with cancer in January 2008, but outlived the prognosis of just several months he received.

His "Dirty Dancing" co-star, Jennifer Gray, said Swayze "was a rare and beautiful combination of raw masculinity and amazing grace."

"Gorgeous and strong, he was a real cowboy with a tender heart," she said after learning of his death. "He was fearless and insisted on always doing his own stunts, so it was not surprising to me that the war he waged on his cancer was so courageous and dignified.

"When I think of him, I think of being in his arms when we were kids, dancing, practicing the lift in the freezing lake, having a blast doing this tiny little movie we thought no one would ever see," she said.

His last television interview was in December 2008 with ABC News' Barbara Walters.

Swayze spoke candidly to Walters about his prognosis and vowed to fight his cancer and "keep my heart and my soul and my spirit open to miracles."

"One thing I'm not gonna do is chase staying alive," Swayze said. "You spend so much time chasing staying alive, you won't live."

"He fought the bravest battle and sadly lost," Walters said today. "My heart goes out to his wonderful Lisa, his wife and soulmate for 34 years."

Lisa Swayze said that he had just recently completed the audio version of his memoir entitled 'The Time of My Life' in homage to the song he made famous in 'Dirty Dancing'.

Swayze's Rise to Stardom

From the time he could walk, Swayze, whose mother was a dance instructor and choreographer, took dance lessons in his hometown of Houston.

Swayze's father, on the other hand, was a great outdoorsman, which is where Swayze got his love for horses.

His primary passion growing up was dancing, but eventually Swayze was forced to stop because of injuries and began investing his energy into acting.

He moved to New York and had his first big break in the Broadway musical "Grease" in 1978. His popularity on the Great White Way soon led him to Hollywood, where he appeared in a teenage movie called "Skatetown USA."

Although he was compared to Rudolph Valentino and John Travolta, Swayze decided not to go the route of being a teenage idol. Instead, he chose to pursue films such as "The Outsiders" and the television miniseries "North and South."

Swayze achieved true stardom with the biggest break of his life, starring as the gyrating dance instructor Johnny Castle in 1987's "Dirty Dancing" opposite co-star Jennifer Gray. He earned a Golden Globe nomination for his role, along with a cult-like following of fans.

He received another nomination for his 1990 blockbuster "Ghost," in which he starred alongside Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. He was named by People magazine as the "Sexiest Man Alive" in 1991.

Moore released this statement upon hearing of Swayze's death, "Patrick you are loved by so many and your light will forever shine in all of our lives. In the words of Sam to Molly. 'It's amazing Molly. The love inside, you take it with you.' I will miss you. Demi."

Swayze continued acting in films, including "Point Break," "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar" and "Donnie Darko."

Now On To "Dirty Dancing"

Title: DIRTY DANCING1987 - 100 min.

Starring:

PATRICK SWAYZE

JENNIFER GREY

CYNTHIA RHODES

JERRY ORBACH

Dirty Dancing is an appealing dance musical with a strong love story. The film takes place in a resort hotel in the early 1960's. Jennifer Grey plays Baby Houseman the innocent teenage daughter of a wealthy doctor & Patrick Swayze stars as the dynamic Johnny Castle the working-class hotel dance instructor who she falls madly in love with.

How Nice To Be SO Much In Love!

DIRTY DANCING

A teenage girl on vacation with her parents in a Catskills resort in 1963 learns about love in the hands of a handsome dance instructor in this sensual, music-filled drama. Jennifer Grey is the sheltered teen, Patrick Swayze the stud with the moves; with Cynthia Rhodes, Jerry Orbach.

I leave you with pearls of wisdom from Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing:

“Look, spaghetti arms. This is my dance space.

This is your dance space. I don’t go into yours, you don’t go into mine.

 You gotta hold the frame.”

“No, I mean the way he saved her. I mean, I… I could never do anything like that. That was somethin’. The reason people treat me like I’m nothin’ is ’cause I’m nothin’.”

“Nobody puts Baby in the corner.”

“Now, you’ll hurt me if you don’t trust me, all right?”

“Just put your pickle on everybody’s plate college boy and leave the hard stuff to me.”

“I’m gonna do my kind of dancin’ with a great partner, who’s not only a terrific dancer; somebody who’s taught me that there are people willing to stand up for other people no matter what it costs them; somebody who’s taught me about the kind of person I wanna be.”

“Yeah, it takes a real saint to ask Daddy.”

“Don’t put your heel down, don’t put your heel down!”

“It’s not on the one, it’s not the mambo, it’s a feeling a heartbeat.”

“You don’t understand the way it is, I mean for somebody like me. Last month I’m eating Jujubes to keep alive, and this month women are stuffing diamonds in my pocket, I’m balancing on shit and quick as that [clicks his fingers] I could be down there again.

Baby & Johnny:

The film features some energetic dance sequences & has a spectacular soundtrack as a backdrop. Swayze is a dancer in real life & this film gave him the opportunity to put those hot dance moves to good use. This was his star-making performance & for many years after he was a household name. Dancer turned actress Cynthia Rhodes is also very good in her small role, especially in the opening mambo dance sequence with heart-throb Swayze. They are electrifying together.

The film's climactic dance sequence featuring Swayze & Grey is anything short of spectacular & makes you want to jump out of your seat & start dancing yourself or simply sit there with a big goofy smile on your face wishing that you could dance like that. It has that feel-good quality that makes you want to watch it again & again.

"Dirty Dancing" was the surprise box office smash of 1987 & deservedly won the Academy Award for Best Song In A Motion Picture, "I've had the time of my life" perfomed by Warnes & Medly. The film was so popular around the world that it resulted in the production of a TV series starring a different cast.

"Dirty Dancing" remains a favorite film for many people & is the ultimate crowd-pleaser. It is the perfect example of what a dance musical should be.

Patrick Swayze to Pen Book about Cancer Battle

January 23, 2009

Patrick Swayze plans to share intimate details of his fight against Pancreatic Cancer in a new book, his rep confirms.

The Beast star is planning to write a memoir with this wife, Lisa, whom he married in 1975. The tome will focus on his life and his battle with cancer, which he was diagnosed with over a year ago.

While his rep says there's no publisher attached to the book at this time and no release date, reports indicate that it will be shopped around to potential buyers next week.

So why not Patrick Swayze himself? It’s been reported that Patrick Swayze will pen a memoir with the help of his wife Lisa. The book will span Swayze’s entire life - which means, unless things take a turn for the better soon, it’s going to have an incredibly depressing ending.

Because, Jesus, The Beast? Have you actually seen that thing? Talk about a terrible way to end an autobiography. Way to bum us all out, Patrick.

Think Patrick Swayze at the moment and, sadly, you tend to think of the stage 4 pancreatic cancer that he’s been blighted with for the last year. That’s not without good reason - for all the upsetting talk of a two-year survival prognosis, the fact is that by doubling the life expectancy of a patient in a similar position, and by seeing off pneumonia in the process, Patrick Swayze has become something of an inspirational figure.

But, despite all this, there’s much more to Patrick Swayze than just cancer. He was named the sexiest man alive in 1991, for example. Plus he wrote She’s Like The Wind, [From The Movie Dirty Dancing] guest-starred in an episode of MacGyver and was the single weirdest thing about Donnie Darko. And those are all things worth preserving.

And that’s why his continuing battle with cancer has spurred Patrick Swayze on to write his autobiography. Along with his wife Lisa, Patrick Swayze has announced that he’s planning to write what is bound to be an incredibly inspirational memoir. People reports:

Despite reports, the source says that Swayze, who is battling pancreatic cancer, will not write an inspirational book. Instead, The Beast star will focus on his life’s journey, including his current fight against cancer . No word yet on when the book will be published.

Oh, alright then. Patrick Swayze’s book won’t be inspirational after all. We’d quite like to think that Patrick Swayze is going to go out of his way to make his autobiography as deliberately curmudgeonly and demotivating as possible. Not just about his fight with cancer, but about everything that’s ever happened to him - we’d especially love to see chapter headings entitled Letters From A Killer: What In Shitting Christ Was I Thinking? and My Parents? Ugh, Don’t Talk To Me About My Parents - but that’s unlikely to happen, realistically.

Nevertheless, we’re sure that Patrick Swayze’s book will turn out great. Just so long as he remembers not to go into too much detail about anything that happened to him between 1992 and, say, 2007. Our lives are busy enough as it is without having to read page after page on the voice work that Patrick Swayze did for The Fox And The Hound 2.
